MAXFLEXX successful also with PP-R and PVC pipes

Almost two years after their market introduction, MAXFLEXX calibration sleeves by iNOEX have established themselves in PE and PP pipe applications. These adjustable calibration sleeves of the latest generation are used worldwide and in many areas they have almost completely replaced conventional fixed sleeves.

MAXFLEXX was constructed for specific market needs. Raw materials which are more difficult to process such as PP-R, highly-filled polymers or PVC can be successfully processed by MAXFLEXX. The sleeves were modified in particular in their inlet zone area which optimises cooling and lubricating effects. A specific inlet geometry plus the flexible calibration sleeve lead to an essentially improved cooling effect for the pipe compared to conventional sleeves. These modifications have also increased throughput rates which was shown during operation since the beginning of this year. Another increase in efficiency in the production process on the credit side.

Generally, all pressure classes of one nominal pipe diameter can be produced with MAXFLEXX in an uninterrupted process. The conversion needed when conventional standard sleeves are used is not required. The number of options for adjustment of a single sleeve lead to a higher flexibility in the production process and increase production safety. MAXFLEXX always allows for shrinkage rates, depending on the wall thickness. Exterior pipe diameters are precisely adapted. ADVANTAGE which is operated successfully worldwide delivered the base for the calibration sleeve. Its technical design ensures that pipes are indeed perfectly round. And the regulated water supply of MAXFLEXX leads to a continuously excellent surface quality – pipe after pipe.
