Simple mechanism for continuous adaptation of pressure classes.
For a large wall thickness, the calibration sleeve is contracted by turning the adjustable unit – the vacuum pressure remains unchanged. This modification in length enlarges the interior diameter of the cage to a slightly conical shape. In this way, the pipe is adapted to its rated size and still remains circular.
To obtain a small wall thickness, the process is effected vice versa. Turning the adjustable unit will expand the cage and reduce the interior diameter.
