Measuring, control and mixing principles of the SAVEOMAT.
Measuring with the SAVEOMAT.
Measuring value recording is done by the measuring mechanics and electronics. In order to process the most different solid materials and liquids simultaneously in one dosing cycle, measurement is done by the patented iNOEX technology. This is called the “intelligent gravimetric sensor", in short "igs":
- Direct recording of measuring values at the funnel weigher
- The weighing cell DMS (strain gauge) converts the weight change inside the weigher hopper into an electric signal (change in electrical resistance) which is proportionate to the weight
- Adaptation of signals via special amplifiers and filter elements for electronic processing and elimination of signal disturbance
- Data preparation for the micro-controller by a 20 Bit-AD-converter
- Examination of measuring values on plausibility
- Evaluation and transmission of measuring values based on statistical standards and algorithms, results are mass throughput values and their changes.

For an optimum measuring value recording, iNOEX has developed the system elements “material decoupling”, “screw synchronisation” and “weigher cycles”. Each dosing component is first recorded according to these features and will then be processed simultaneously in the dosing process. This guarantees the highest possible dosing accuracy.
Impact Cone - Material decoupling
- Serves for material decoupling
- Fundamental requirement for measurement of material weight in the weighing hopper

Synchronization of measuring value recording and scre speed:
- Compensation of infeed variations of the converyor screw
- Recording of specific conveyance rate

SAVEOMAT control.
SAVEOMAT systems are able to control the dosing process of up to 18 material components per extruder. No matter how many different materials are used in your extrusion process, the control principle is always the same. A set value has to be determined and all depending variables are reliably and continuously adapted to this value by the SAVEOMAT.
- Set value mass throughput -> screw speed control
- Set value weight per metre -> screw speed control or haul-off speed control
The following graph points out the improvement of process conditions on account of the integration of the SAVEOMAT:

The result: for manual operation, the usual procedure is to set a fix value for the haul-off
speed. However, when the SAVEOMAT is used, a fixed weight per metre value can be entered which corresponds to the set-value. Through a continuous adaptation of the haul-off speed in accordance with the extruder performance, this value is not only reliably achieved but can be set to the bottom standard value in the next stage.
Mixing with the SAVEOMAT.
The unique combination of static and dynamic mixing techniques permits the dosing of solid, liquid and reactive materials. All this without early segregation of the dosing components.
