MAXFLEXX forming chamber is a process engineering tool which replaces the complex change of die sets at the extrusion die head.The MAXFLEXX forming chamber permits the extrusion of all pipe dimensions / pressure classes within the setting range of the calibration sleeve with only one die head dimension. This leads to a maximum in flexibility with your standard die head, without any melt gap modification. Instead, a simple mechanism leads to the re-direction of the homogeneous melt flow directly after the die head.

When applied in a team with the flexible calibration sleeve, the forming chamber develops its potential for the creation of added value to the full:
within seconds, the melt flow coming from the basic die set is directed in such a way that after the change of direction the melt flow has got different dimensions. The new orientation is achieved through various segments which open and close, according to the extrusion process. When both products are combined, pipe dimensions can be produced gradually – without changing the die/mandrel set, for SDR-classes 26 - 7,4.
The forming chamber can be applied also independently without ADVANTAGE.
