ADVANTAGE - what is it about?
ADVANTAGE permits the automatic and continuous adaptation of various diameters and pressure classes of PO pipes of 32 to 1200 mm. ADVANTAGE is a modular system. Existing extrusion lines can be upgraded step by step to prepare them for the fully automated change of dimensions. Conventional elements - your extrusion dies, your tanks, your downstream equipment are combined with an innovative system. A higher flexibility and efficiency will be achieved.
The system in short.
ADVANTAGE consists of four component parts:
- flexible calibration sleeve
- flexible sealing
- flexible pipe support
- control unit
A simple mechanism for the continuous change of diameters and wall thicknesses.
The co-ordinated change of parameters for mass throughput and haul-off speed combined with the performance of the calibration sleeve results in the production of the required diameters and wall thicknesses. No need to change the melt gap in the extrusion die due to this mechanism. Continue to use your existing extrusion die.
A modification of parameters has the following results:
- An increase in mass throughput and the simultaneous enlargement of the interior diameter of the calibration sleeve lead to an increase in the pipe diameter and vice versa.
- An increase in the haul-off speed leads to a smaller wall thickness and vice versa.
