ADVANTAGE EVO SIZE is the further advanced development of the leading technology ADVANTAGE for dimensional changes. It includes all components for the reduction of set-up times and the gradual change of dimensions for pipes from 32 to 1.000 mm. ADVANTAGE calibration sleeves offer a very large setting range of 1:2,5 and the proven mechatronics and reliable process engineering. The new flagship, the XXXL calibration sleeeve, has been designed for the impressive setting range of 400/630 to 1.000 mm. The new flexible ADVANTAGE pipe support is convincing due to its compact construction and large setting range. For pipe dimensions = 250 mm, a cage support is used and for diameters larger than 250 mm, the choice is a chain with supporting rollers and a high carrying power. Corresponding to the pipe supports, for pipes = 250 mm the proven double-fold sealing and for larger pipes the compact new segmented sealing are used.
The flexible calibration sleeve consists of two elements: the calibration cage with the diagonally aligned circumferential bands and the inlet. Both elements can be precisely tuned by synchronized motors. The co-ordinated changes of mass throughput and haul-off speed, the use of the flexible calibration sleeve and the forming chamber will lead to the set diameters and wall thickness sizes.
